About
Hi, I’m Lee Rosen and I’m behind most of what you’re seeing here at Divorce Discourse. I’m writing for people working in the family law arena, but I’ve found that lots of attorneys in other practice areas and small business leaders find the material useful. I’m always looking for feedback and input and encourage you to post comments here on the site or to connect with me via my contact form.
I’ve been practicing family law since 1987. In 1990 I started Rosen Law Firm. We have three offices serving Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Each year with my firm has been different. We don’t repeat the same year twice. I love experimenting, tweaking and changing. I’ve tried lots of management techniques, marketing approaches and more technology ideas than I can remember. I’ve learned amazing things along the way and it’s great to be able to pass along my experience.
This is my “About” page so I should tell you that I am the Law Practice Management Editor of Family Advocate, a publication of the American Bar Association, Family Law Section. I’m a former Chairperson of the Law Practice Management Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. I’m a frequent contributor to NC Lawyers Weekly, TechnoLawyer and other legal publications.
I’m the host of the weekly programs Stay Happily Married and Divorce Talk Radio.
Over the past few years I’ve had the opportunity to work with some rapidly growing family law practices helping take their management, marketing and technology to the next level. It’s invigorating to be on a team achieving phenomenal growth. I can’t get enough of talking about growing practices and have done a bunch of speaking at a variety of continuing education events for attorneys, judges, mental health professionals, accountants, physicians and other professional services providers.
I enjoy talking to reporters (in college I thought I’d become a journalist) and I’m frequently cited by the media having recently been quoted by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, MSNBC, CNBC, and many other news outlets. Did you see my shiny, bald head on Good Morning America or CNN?
