Website Review – Chicago Divorce Lawyer

I’ve got lots of opinions about websites for family law practices. Now I’m going to impose them on you – if you stick around for a few minutes.

I picked a site, at random, to review and recorded my thoughts for you. This time it’s Fetman, Garland & Associates. My plan, if I get some encouraging feedback, is to do this for other sites as time goes by. Of course, these observations are simply my opinions. Obviously, my thoughts are totally subjective. The only objective reality is the success of the site. Does it draw traffic? Does the traffic convert? Click on the video to watch.

I’m watching it now on the site and it seems to be playing all the way through. I’m sorry if you’re having trouble. Let me know if you can’t get it to work.

    Lee:

Definitely, please keep doing these. I have watched your website change and develop over the years. I think for all lawyers, whether family law or otherwise, your insights would be helpful because you’ve been focusing on this stuff for YEARS.

I found just this one podcast helpful. To be honest, I like the look and feel of her website graphics. Easier on my eyes. I agree, it lacks content and is not aimed at targeting the clients properly. But my eyes find busy websites too difficult to process. So, if there is a way of presenting all the same information, while keeping the site graphics less visually stimulating (just a bit), I’m all for it.

What are your thoughts on Flash for lawyer websites?

    Thanks!

      Dana,

      Thanks for your kind words.

I’m not big on flash unless necessary. Not much to be gained. Something to be lost…

    Lee:

Happy to offer them. Well deserved praise.

If you are considering doing these website reviews again (or more), I personally would be interested to see what you would consider to be a good website (apart from your own, of course. :->) and why.

Also, are there books you would recommend as good reads for new attorneys to learn some of the psychology behind marketing/web marketing? You have probably read them all and could suggest the best ones to read and which ones to avoid.

    Thanks again!

I could watch the video just fine, so I guess whatever problems there were are now ironed out. This is some great information. I think it’s important to read/hear reviews on an attorney before you decide to hire him or her. In most cases, there are several attorneys to choose from who all specialize in the same things. It’s important to figure out who has the best rates, most success, and best reviews by previous clients.
