I also wonder if sometimes people are just so nervous about going to see a lawyer that they &quot;chicken out?&quot;  I make it a point to personally speak with almost all potential clients before they come in;  even if I did not take the initial call.  I think this step makes a big difference, and I let people know that I understand they are taking an important step by coming in, etc.  Finally, it seems that cancellations rarely reschedule if they are a no-show.
