I thinks its fascinating how people find you on twitter - out of the blue people follow you and it suddenly opens up a whole new world of interesting people to talk with!

The best bit is you never know where it might lead you ...

Valid point. I'd be good with Facebook acquiring Twitter. I use the facebook app that grabs my Twitter updates anyway. Thanks for you perspective.

Well, I'm happy that you're bringing your peers into the 21st century with you... as I advise attorneys on such matters! However, I honestly believe that Twitter is the frosting to the blog/on-line networking cake. That is, once you're database is linkedin (and possibly f'booked) and receives a newsletter based on your bLAWg, then twitter your heart's content to add micro-updates to your on-line community.

IMHO ... and I believe Twitter will be bought by Facebook... thus, our status updates on F'book will be more important -- this is a wish, conjecture, and prediction -- though the above suggestions hold true.

Pam,

Thanks for adding to the conversation.

I think most of the folks following me are finding me on lists of lawyers that are being compiled by different people - a good example is LexTweet.com. I also think people scan the lists of people being followed by others to decide who to follow. Over time more and more people end up following you. Good luck. See you on twitter.

How are the people finding you on twitter to get referrals, etc? I'm trying to figure this stuff out and it's still eluding me a bit. I'm almost there, though, especially with a little help from my friends!
